I graduated from Bogaziçi University in 2007 with a double major degree from Mechanical Engineering and Physics departments. Following that, I moved to the US to pursue my graduate degrees. I am holding an MS from Mechanical Engineering from Boston University (2009), and a PhD from Materials Science from Columbia University (2015). From 2016 to 2018, I worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS II) of Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, New York. During my postdoctoral work, I helped developing data analysis techniques for the newly built X-ray microscope that is being developed at the NSLS II.
In August 2018 I joined the Mechanical Engineering department of Özyeğin University and I have been working as an Assistant Professor since then.
