I am currently an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Ozyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey. I received my PhD degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Structural Engineering, from Penn State University in May 2015. I joined Ozyegin University in September 2015.
My research interests include:
- Earthquake Engineering
- Risk and reliability analysis of structures
- Structural performance assessment under multiple hazards
- Resilient and sustainable infrastructures at component and system levels
My future vision is to contribute to society in creating sustainable built environment, while managing risk on communities due to extreme events, as well as enhancing its resilience capabilities.
