TMS 2015
Dr. Yapici presented at 144th TMS Annual Meeting.
New Graduate Student Positions Available
We are seeking highly motivated graduate students to join MEMFIS and work on the thermo-mechanical processing of light alloys.
The project is supported by TÜBİTAK.
A competitive benefit package is offered to qualified individuals.
Openings are for one Ph.D. and one M.S. student. Previous experience on mechanical and microstructural characterization needed.
Apply before June 15, 2015 for full consideration.
MEMFIS was established in 2011 at Ozyegin University and performs research-teaching activities on the processing-structure-property relations of advanced materials.
NanoSPD6
Dr. Yapici was an invited speaker at NanoSPD6, in Metz, France (July 2014).
Position for Ph.D.
We are seeking highly motivated graduate students to work on the experimental characterization and computational modeling of bulk ultra-fine grained and nanostructured materials.
The project is supported by the European Commission (Marie Curie CIG within FP7).
A competitive benefit package is offered to qualified individuals.
One Ph.D. student is needed. Previous experience on mechanical characterization is a plus.
Apply before June 15, 2014 for full consideration.
Position for Post-Doc
A post-doc position is available for a duration of 12 months. The interested candidate should have strong experimental and computational skills. Previous experience on shape memory materials is mandatory. Apply before July 1, 2014.
Opening for Fall 2014
Multiple positions are available for a Tubitak 1003 project at the M.S., Ph.D. and post-doc level.
The candidate should have a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field. Experience on data acquisition systems is favorable.
