M.Sc. Wazir Akbar Shinwari (Ph.D. Student)
He graduated from the department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar Pakistan in January 2013. Afterward, he gained his MS in Mechanical Engineering Department at Ozyegin University in 2016. His research project was about developing tick repellent textiles. The main objective of the research was to develop novel multifunctional textile structures that include biologically active compounds,to prevent the spreading of infectious diseases like Borreliosis and other tick-borne diseases.
His final year project was ”Wind resistant stability criteria of tubular wind turbine tower”. The project was funded by SUPARCO (Space and Upper Atmosphere Research commission: National Space Agency of Pakistan).
During his undergraduate studies, he was selected among the top 100 students from all over Pakistan for Global UGRAD exchange program in the USA. He was placed in the department of mechanical and aerospace engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville for one semester: fall 2011. He recently started as a Ph.D. student at Ozyegin University in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Mohammed Salih Ahmed (Ph.D. Candidate)
He got his B.Sc. from Department of Production and Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Technology, 1994 in Iraq, then he worked in some Iraqi companies as an engineer. Also, he worked in Laser Research and Applications Center, then he gained his M.Sc. in Metallurgy Engineering from Production and Metallurgical Department from the University of Technology, 2004 in Iraq. His research project was about the heat treatment of aluminum alloys and laser surface treatment of aluminum alloys. After M.Sc., he worked as a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department at Tikrit University for nine years until 2012. During that period, he supervised many undergraduate students. He started his Ph.D.at Ozyegin University in the Mechanical Engineering Department in September 2014.
She gained her BSc from Physics Department at Ataturk University in 2011. Then, she gained her M.Sc. on solid state physics, with a national project about gas sensors and thin film growth as well characterization at Science Institute of Erzincan University in 2015. The same year, she began to study on photocat project for her second master degree. Her interest areas include; thin film growth methods, characterization, and application, interacting electron in thin semiconductor, semiconductor lasers, and nanomaterials.
She received her B.Sc. from the Mechanical Engineering Department at Ozyegin University in 2016. She worked with Bahar Basim during her senior project, which was including a collaboration with Standard Profil. Her senior project is ongoing and the objective is to produce abrasion resistant, heat tolerant, durable to UV exposure and self-repairing polymeric sealants with integrated nanotechnology for automotive seals. She recently started as an M.Sc. student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Ozyegin University.
Mohammad Zohaib Naseem (M.Sc. Student)
He graduated from Da Public School O & A Levels in 2010 with the first position in the entire batch. Then he graduated from Karachi Grammar School in 2012 with an academic distinction award in high school. Recently he graduated from Ozyegin University Mechanical Engineering Department as a top ranked student in the department in June 2016. He worked with Bahar Basim during his senior project and he is now an M.Sc. student in Mechanical Engineering Department at Ozyegin University. His senior project was about designing and making an assembly of a 3D CMP setup for polishing dental implants. He worked in collaboration with materials and robotics laboratories while creating a new area of research and development in the form of 3D CMP.
