Last semester, Dr. Deniz’s team gave two project presentations at two international conferences:
In October 2020, Dr. Derya Deniz attended the 2nd International Disaster and Resilience Congress (IDRC) organized by Eskisehir Technical University. Dr. Deniz presented the research conducted by her MS student Hasan Numan Olmez and herself, entitled: “Flood Impact Assessment Models for Industrial Structures in Turkey”. This study has been funded through prestigious TUBITAK 2232 fellowship, and a journal paper is also coming out soon, stay tuned !
Also, in November 2020, Dr. Deniz’s student Hasan Numan Olmez gave a presentation at XI. International Conference on Structural Dynamics (EURODYN). His talk was about “A Rapid and Efficient Seismic Performance Assessment Method for Industrial Facilities in Turkey”.
