Dr. Betuk Konukcu, a senior researcher at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, visited us in the last week of December and gave a seminar for our CE547-Structural Reliability class. Her seminar title was “Urban Resilience based Global Agendas and International Resilience Strategies on How to Increase Istanbul’s Capability and Capacity Against to Challenges“. She explained different perspectives of urban resilience and mentioned how they are adopting the exisiting resilience tools for Istanbul. It was a really exciting and valuable seminar for us!
